My name is Chad Van Gaalen, I am a father of 2 children and 2 dogs and I have been an artist making stuff for 30 years in Calgary/Mohkinstsis. I am now performing music again under the name Full Moon Bummer. I play solo as a 'one person band' and I play as a 3 piece/4 piece with Chris Dadge on percussion, Ryan Bourne on bass, and Scott Munro guitar/synth. 

My music drifts between folk and free music. Outsider sounds pretentious, but I do enjoy 20 minute soundscapes of maternity wards mixed with whale vocalisations as much as I love swell maps. I have spent most of my life now making drawings, animations, sculptures and music. I have even recorded bands that I love in my garage. My art has taken me around the world and I feel like Lady Luck has rolled some nice dice on me.
