Ben Cook's project GUV — formerly Young Guv — is a document of a life in music. A widescreen project rooted in power pop, Madchester, and Britpop, GUV's 2026 album Warmer Than Gold was made between London and Los Angeles with collaborator JMVII, featuring contributions from Hatchie and Meg Mills of Turnstile. Cook, who grew up between Toronto and England, also plays in No Warning and was a member of Fucked Up (2007–2021). His acclaimed discography spans GUV I–IV and now Warmer Than Gold.
