Coliseum formed in 2003 and returned in 2024 after an eight year hiatus. Founded by singer/guitarist Ryan Patterson and joined by bassist Kayhan Vaziri and drummer Carter Wilson, Coliseum is one of the new millennium's quintessential contemporary punk bands. They successfully melded progressive musicianship, hardcore fervor, and vital social awareness into one constantly evolving artistic vision.

Over a 12-year run the band played nearly 1,000 shows and released five full-length albums on Level Plane, Relapse, Temporary Residence, and Deathwish Inc., evolving from D-beat-influenced hardcore into a broader, more melodic sound. After going on hiatus in 2015, the trio secretly reunited to record as C.L.S.M., releasing Infinity Shit in 2023 — a deliberate return to their early roots. In April 2024 they played their first live shows in nine years, both nights selling out, and later that year released a remixed and remastered 20th anniversary edition of their self-titled debut on Equal Vision Records.
